“I have been living in the Liberty Triangle area for four years and we love the area, but I noticed with all the building of the new homes and the restaurants, along with the Sprouts supermarket, that new people are coming into the community. I’m noticing that there is a real need for a community center. I’m thinking of an intergenerational community center. I appreciate the YMCA, the Mary Sue Rich community center and some other centers that I’ve noticed, but there is none right in the heart of this area. Some children don’t have cars. Some parents have to work. It would be really a wonderful idea to have something like this where people can come together, meet, and just have a good time. Children can have fun playing basketball, pickle ball, and all kinds of sports activities along with adults doing their thing/sewing, knitting, doing improv reading, writing, all that kind of good stuff. It seems like we’re just building a lot of homes. I’m not sure how quickly the homes are being occupied. It’s a nice thought just to have a community center where we can meet one another and just talk. The world can sometimes be a lonely place.
