Joseph Hopkins, Sr., age 99, transition this life to be with his heavenly father on October 28, 2018 at Oakhurst Care & Rehab Center. He was a member of Mt. Tabor A.M.E. Church.
Mr. Hopkins served the community as a produce business owner and farmer for many years.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories a devoted wife of 64 years, Mrs. Mary Hopkins; son, Wayne Hopkins, Sr.; grandchildren, Wayne (Jabriel) Hopkins, Jr., Temakia (Arron) Epps, Corey J. (Nakia) Smith; eight great grandchildren; brother, Moton Hopkins (Algene), Orion (Sue) Hopkins; a host of brother-in laws; sister-in laws; nieces; nephews; cousins; and sorrowing friends.
Life Celebration for Mr. Joseph Hopkins, Sr. will be held 1:00PM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Mt. Tabor A.M.E. Church, Rev. Patricia Nelson, Pastor. Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 08, 2018 from 6:00PM until 7:00PM at Hadley-Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 09, 2018 from 2:00 until 6:30PM at Hadley-Brown Funeral Home, 127 N.W. 20th Street, Ocala, Fl. 34475.
