Wade Otis Hatfield

Wade Otis Hatfield, 77, of Ocala, Florida passed away November 21, 2018 at his Ocala home. He was born in Robertsdale, Alabama a son of the late Floyd and Lavonia Hatfield. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force and a retiree from Eastern Airlines. He was well known as the cook at Waffle House.

Wade is survived by Karla Taylor, his loving companion of Ocala, FL; daughters, Jennifer Hatfield of Chiefland, FL, Laura Grossman (Hank) of Hudson, FL, Kimberly Hatcher (Scott) of Summerfield, FL; and sons, Jeffrey Brown (Tracey) of Jacksonville, FL, William Brown (Marie) of Homestead, FL. He had 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was known as ‘Grandpa’ to so many others and knew no strangers.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. A celebration of life will be at Marion Oaks Recreation Center building C at 5pm.
