Rawlins Forest Harmon, age 88, of Ocala, Florida took his stroll into heaven to rejoin his loving bride Jeanne Harmon on Friday December 28, 2018 in his home with his family by his side. Rawlins was born September 16, 1930 to loving parents Forest & Inez Harmon in Orville, OH.

Rawlins was a kind and generous man who would give his last dollar to help his family or his friends. Rawlins worked hard his entire life. Starting when he was 11 he worked as a baker’s assistant, then later he worked as a crane operator for General Motors, serving in the Korean War as a SSgt. in the United States Marine Corps., and finally later providing for his family as a professional scratch baker alongside his sons. He was a hero to his children and grandchildren and when they last spoke he told them he’d see them in heaven.

Earlier this year his wife of 63 years passed away and Rawlins was eagerly waiting to get back to his beloved Jeanne. Together they are happily celebrating their successful lives in Heaven. He is also preceded in death by his parents Forest & Inez Harmon; his sisters, Julia, Bernice, Iona, Helen, Inez Harriet, Carol Fay, and Elsie; and his brothers, George, Raymond, and Eugene.

Rawlins is survived by his children, daughter Deborah (John Sutton) Coldwell-Sutton, son Michael Harmon, son Mark (Jody) Harmon, daughter Dianna (Steve) Mabee, daughter Lynda (Robert) Patten. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, as well as 1 brother, Gordon Harmon. He is further survived by many other relatives, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

A visitation of Friends and Family for Rawlins will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480 with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM.
