Thomas Morris, March 13, 1935 – January 12, 2019 went to be with the Lord after developing complications from Alzheimer’s.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Born on March 13, 1935 in Rochester, NY, he was preceded in death by his parents James and Winifred and his brother Terry.
He graduated with a degree in Economics from St. Bonaventure University in 1956. Tom completed his Army service at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Tom had a 40 year career in the warehouse distribution field for various companies across the country. He retired to Ocala, Florida in 1998.
Tom enjoyed participating and viewing a wide variety of sports. The last 20 years gave Tom the opportunity to enjoy many rounds of golf at Royal Oaks Golf Club in Oak Run with family and friends.
Friends enjoyed his Irish wit, piano playing and willingness to clean dishes after dinner parties.
Tom is survived by Joanne, his loving wife of 62 years, five children, Linda Fox (Kevin), Mike Morris (Sharyn), Patty Bardgett (Dan), Jim Morris, Mary Kay Sauls, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren that were born on Toms birthday.
The Morris family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Legacy Hospice House for providing comfort to Tom during his final days.
