Cadillac-driving man jailed after leaving shoe print on woman’s arm

Cameron Jett Platt

A Belleview man caught on cell phone video kicking a woman out of his Cadillac is behind bars on a domestic battery charge.

The victim told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy she was in an argument with Cameron Jett Platt, 30, on Thursday when he forced her out of the vehicle and drove off. She said Platt was going to give her a ride to her residence when he became angry and threw her belongings out of the vehicle before kicking her in the left arm and forcing her to get out, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The deputy observed what appeared to be a shoe print on the victim’s upper left arm. The victim also provided a cell phone video, which showed her sitting in the passenger seat asking to be taken to her residence. Platt was yelling at the victim and the video became shaky. In the video, the victim could be heard yelling “stop hitting me” before she exited the vehicle, the report said.

The deputy responded to Platt’s home on SE 71st Avenue and located the maroon Cadillac in the driveway. Platt said he didn’t kick the victim and only bumped her out of the vehicle with his hip from the driver’s seat, according to the report.

Platt was taken to the Marion County Jail, where he’s being held on $500 bond. He’ll answer to the domestic battery charge in Marion County Court on June 17.
