A Belleview man was jailed last week after a nasty tiff with his lady friend of six years.
The woman told a Belleview Police officer that 57-year-old James Todd Criss had started yelling at her in their kitchen and started to shove her around. The officer noted that the woman had a “slight redness” on her chest.
Criss was taking a shower and told the officer he didn’t want to come out. The officer then ordered him to out of the shower to speak with him, a Belleview Police report says.
Criss told the officer the redness on the woman’s chest was the result of bed bugs. He claimed he didn’t touch the woman and was then arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail.
Criss was charged with domestic battery. He was released Thursday night on $500 bond and is due in court June 18 at 9 a.m.
