Chuck E Cheese Ocala off list of nationwide closures amidst company bankruptcy filing

Chuck E Cheese in Ocala was not included in the list of restaurant locations closed by the company as a result of their bankruptcy filing last week.

The organization’s parent company, CEC Entertainment Inc., made the announcement in a press release distributed earlier this week.

“The Chapter 11 process will allow us to strengthen our financial structure as we recover from what has undoubtedly been the most challenging event in our Company’s history and get back to the business of delivering memories, entertainment, and pizzas for another 40 years and beyond,” said David McKillips, CEC’s Chief Executive Officer. “

“As of June 24, 266 company-operated Chuck E Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza restaurant and arcade venues had safely re-opened, in accordance with all CDC, federal, state and local guidelines,” said the release

According to the company’s website, the Ocala location is one of those that should remain open. The location has since opened its doors after the Coronavirus shut down all locations nationwide for multiple months.
