To the Editor:
We know the roads are getting crowded lately. If you’re like me, you’ve probably also noticed a drastic increase in the number of vehicles running red lights around our area.
Every time I venture out, I witness at least two or three red-light violations. It’s becoming a serious safety concern for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists alike. (I was recently the victim in an accident thanks to a careless driver running a red light).
So perhaps the state, county, or city could use some of its budget surplus to invest in red-light cameras at high-risk intersections.
Increased enforcement could help deter these dangerous violations and make our roads safer for everyone.
