A Fort McCoy woman was arrested Monday after she reportedly violated a domestic violence injunction issued earlier in the day.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded to a residence on NE 153rd Lane after a neighbor reported seeing Terri Hutto Gourm, 59, arrive at the home with two other people and start removing items. While en route, the deputy was informed that Gourm was leaving the incident location, according to the sheriff’s office report.
Using the description of Gourm’s vehicle, another deputy stopped her at the intersection of 150th Avenue and Highway 316, the report said.
The victim told a deputy that he and Gourm had a final judgment hearing that day. He said the injunction was set in place at the hearing and Gourm was served at that time. The victim showed the deputy the injunction, which stated that Gourm was not permitted to go inside or within 500 feet of the victim’s residence, according to the report.
Gourm admitted to entering the home. She said she went inside to gather her personal property. She was taken to the Marion County Jail, where she was released Tuesday on $2,000 bond. She will appear in Marion County Court on Aug. 5.
