Six more residents of long-term care facilities in Marion County have died as a result of the COVID-19 virus.
Those numbers were reported Monday morning by the Florida Department of Health. That brings the total number of fatalities at assisted living facilities and nursing homes in Marion County to 18.
Two of the latest fatalities were reported at Ocala Oaks Rehabilitation Center. The others were identified at Brentwood at Fore Ranch, The Harmony House of Ocala, The Bridge at Life Care Center of Ocala and Timber Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Previous deaths have been reported at Brentwood at Fore Ranch, The Harmony House of Ocala, Timber Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Palm Garden of Ocala, Hawthorne Health and Rehab of Ocala, Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center, Oakhurst Center and Avante at Ocala Inc.
All 10 of those facilities also reported active COVID-19 cases on Monday. Those include:
- Ocala Oaks Rehabilitation Center (10 residents, 15 residents who transferred out of the facility and 18 employees);
- Brentwood at Fore Ranch (17 residents, one resident who transferred out and six employees);
- The Harmony House of Ocala (three residents, six residents who transferred out and four employees);
- The Bridge at Life Care Center of Ocala (two employees);
- Timber Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (11 residents, 18 residents who transferred out and 11 employees);
- Palm Garden of Ocala (two employees);
- Hawthorne Health and Rehab of Ocala (one resident who transferred out and two employees);
- Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center (one employee);
- Oakhurst Center (14 residents, seven residents who transferred out and nine employees); and
- Avante at Ocala Inc. (nine residents who transferred out and eight employees).
