Palm Cay resident charged again with trespassing at community clubhouse

Dominick Kimley

A resident of the Palm Cay over-55 community in Ocala was charged with trespassing at the clubhouse for the second time this year after he reportedly asked another man to leave the premises so he could buy drugs.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded Sunday evening to the Palm Cay clubhouse, located at 8096 SW 103rd Place, where the man who reported the incident said Dominick Kimley was inside. He said Kimley, 56, of 10922 SW 79th Ave., had told him to leave because there was someone on the way to sell him methamphetamine and he didn’t want this person to be spooked by seeing the witness’ car in the parking lot, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The witness said he was told by the facility manager to contact law enforcement if he saw Kimley on the property at any time. The deputy went inside the clubhouse and saw Kimley sitting in the chair and using the clubhouse phone. Asked why he was back at the property after being arrested previously for trespassing at the location, Kimley said he was there to make a phone call, the report.

A computer search showed Kimley was first trespassed from the clubhouse on June 2. He was charged with trespassing July 9 and spent 18 days in jail, according to the report.

Kimley is being held in the Marion County Jail. No bond information was available. He is scheduled to appear in Marion County Court on Nov. 17.
