Ocala FPRA speaker to present ‘How to connect with Latinx communities in Florida’

The Ocala Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will hold its monthly professional development meeting virtually via Zoom and in-person at the College of Central Florida, 3001 SW College Road, Ocala, on Thursday, June 17, noon-1 p.m., with networking starting at 11:30 a.m. In-person attendees will follow COVID-19 precautions.

The featured speaker is Natalie Asorey, lecturer and associate director at the University of Florida’s The Agency, who will present: “How to connect with Latinx communities in Florida.”

Asorey, who has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, was most recently head of social media at BODEN, a leading cross-cultural communications agency in Miami. She managed the McDonald’s USA account, collaborating with McDonald’s communications, marketing and digital teams to develop social media strategies to reach the Hispanic consumer market.

Asorey also led the agency’s award-winning social listening practice, Escucha, to build brand advocacy through influencer and consumer engagement and real-time content. Previously, she worked on the Delta Dental, UnitedHealthcare, Dewar’s, America’s ToothFairy and American Academy of Pediatrics accounts.

The cost to attend the in-person meeting at the College of Central Florida is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers and includes a boxed lunch. The cost to attend the virtual meeting is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The reservation deadline is Monday, June 14.
