Liberty Health Sciences has opened a new medical marijuana dispensary in Ocala, bringing the total number of dispensaries within city limits to six.
Ayr Wellness Inc. announced the opening of the company’s 39th dispensary in Florida and first in the Ocala area this week. The dispensary is located in east Ocala, at 4920 East Silver Springs Boulevard.
The 3,000 square-foot store features a selection of products that are available for patients with valid medical marijuana licenses.
“We believe this is a critical time to be opening dispensaries in the Florida marketplace, putting our stake in the ground in attractive locations throughout the state,” said Jonathan Sandelman, CEO of Ayr Wellness Inc.
The new dispensary joins multiple others that have opened their doors in Ocala in recent years.
GrowHealthy opened its doors in January of 2020, Trulieve in June 2020, and One Plant in September 2020.
Liberty Health Sciences Ocala is open Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
