The Salvation Army of Ocala is currently accepting applications for Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance for residents of Marion County.
The organization is accepting applications by phone (352-732-8326) through October 8 for Thanksgiving food assistance and Christmas toys and food assistance, according to the group’s website.
This year will include contactless interviews. Once applications are taken over the phone, applicants will show proof of all necessary documents.
Phone lines are open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The deadline for families to apply is Friday, October 8.
