The Ocala Wetland Recharge Park will temporarily close this week to prepare for the construction of a new pavilion.

The park will be closed beginning Thursday, October 7 through Friday, October 8 to prepare the site for the construction of a future pavilion.

Crews will be onsite to do geotechnical boring to learn about the physical properties and soil structure for supporting an open-air pavilion.

The park will resume normal operating hours on Saturday, October 9. Park hours are sunrise to sunset, seven days a week.

This summer, the Ocala Wetland Recharge Park received national recognition when it won an Innovation in Conservation Award from the National Recreation and Park Association.
