A new art exhibit opens in Ocala on Thursday, October 14 at the Recreation and Parks Administration building located at 828 NE Eighth Avenue.
‘European Elegance’ by Florida-based contemporary artist Lisa Russo will be on display beginning this Thursday, and the exhibit will run through Tuesday, January 18. This free exhibit is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and it is open to the public.
According to a press release, Lisa Russo is trained in the traditional style of painting. After earning her BFA degree, she studied under a traditional oil painter to learn the techniques and methods used to create many of the masterpieces from the 1600s.
Russo holds a U.S. patent for a convertible canvas that allows a two-dimensional painting to display in different three-dimensional forms, adding an unconventional twist to the traditional.
