A 48-year-old Lake City woman is dead after being struck by two vehicles on U.S. Highway 90 in Columbia County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s incident report, on Friday at around 7 p.m., a white Ford sedan or small pickup truck was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 90 just east of NE Moody Court.
The woman was standing in the roadway, and the unknown white Ford vehicle collided with her and left the scene of the crash.
As she was lying in the road, an unknown semi-trailer truck also struck her and left the scene.
The white Ford vehicle is missing its driver’s side rear-view mirror.
If anyone has any information that may lead to the identification of both vehicles that fled the scene, please contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
The name of the victim was not released, per FHP policy.
