The new Ocala VA Clinic has officially opened in southwest Ocala.
On Tuesday, the clinic opened the doors to its 45,500 square-foot facility located at 4826 SW 49th Road.
A wide variety of services are offered at the clinic, including primary care, mental health care, audiology, optometry, specimen collection, and telehealth services.
The hours of operation for the clinic are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The clinic joins a couple of others that are located nearby.
Currently, there are VA Clinics located in Ocala at 1515 E Silver Springs Blvd (The Cascades), and in The Villages at 8900 SE 165th Mulberry Lane.
According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Ocala West VA Clinic located at 3307 SW 26th Avenue will continue to remain open to provide optometry services to Veterans until further notice.
