Registration is now open for the spring season of the 2022 Tiny Mite and Mighty Mite T-ball leagues.
The Tiny Mite league kicks off at Jervey Gantt Park located at 2200 SE 36th Avenue in Ocala on Wednesday, March 2 and ends on Friday, April 1. The league is open to children ages 3 and 4, and there is a $60 cost per player.
Tiny Mite teams meet on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the young participants will learn the basic skills of T-ball which includes batting, catching, throwing, and the importance of teamwork in an encouraging environment.
After the Tiny Mite league wraps up its season, the Mighty Mite league will head to Jervey Gantt Park beginning on Monday, April 4 through Thursday, May 19. The Mighty Mite league is open to children ages 5 and 6, and there is a $50 cost per player.
Mighty Mite teams meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the participating children will learn the basic skills necessary to play organized baseball, softball, and T-ball. The league focuses on teaching the children how to throw, catch, bat, and run without the threat or fear of getting hurt.
