Two Ocala residents were killed after their motorcycle was struck by a pickup truck on State Road 200 in Citrus County on Thursday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol incident report, the pickup truck was traveling southbound on State Road 200 (N Carl G Rose Highway) at around 5:25 p.m.

A 72-year-old Ocala man and 77-year-old Ocala woman were riding a motorcycle, and they were traveling northbound on State Road 200.

The pickup truck was just north of E Orchid Street at the entrance of the Sunoco located at 6695 N Carl G Rose Highway. The driver, a 31-year-old Hernando man, failed to yield and turned left into the path of the motorcycle.
