‘After Dark in the Park’ is heading to Tuscawilla Art Park this week for the next installment of this year’s free movie series.
On Friday, March 25 at 8 p.m., the movie series continues with “Dreamgirls” at Tuscawilla Art Park located at 213 NE 5th Street. The film is rated PG-13 and will take viewers back to the days of Motown.
The event is free and open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Popcorn, drinks, and other refreshments will be available for purchase.
The Ocala Recreation and Parks Department is hosting additional free movie events at several parks across the city on select Fridays throughout the year:
- Friday, September 9 at 8 p.m. – “The Karate Kid” (rated PG) at Tuscawilla Park Oak Grove (500 NE 9th Street).
- Friday, October 28 at 7 p.m. – “The Village” (rated PG-13) at Fort King National Historic Landmark (3925 E Fort King Street).
- Friday, December 16 at 7 p.m. – “The Santa Clause” (rated PG) at Tuscawilla Park Oak Grove (500 NE 9th Street).
