The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department’s upcoming ‘Kayak and Koffee’ event is heading to Weeki Wachee.
On Saturday, April 9, event participants will meet at Brick City Adventure Park (1211 SE 22nd Road in Ocala) at 7:45 a.m. The kayakers will then enjoy a scenic ride on Weeki Wachee River. Light refreshments will also be served.
The event is open to anyone ages 15 and up and beginners are welcome. There is a $50 fee per participant and all kayaks and gear are provided.
Everyone is encouraged to bring bug spray, sunscreen, and a bottle of water, and weather-appropriate clothing and a hat are also recommended.
