The victim stated that he had stopped by a residence in the 10000 block of SW 151st Place in Dunnellon to deliver groceries to Ritchie. He stated that he left the keys in the truck, and he was bringing groceries inside the residence when Ritchie jumped into the vehicle.

Ritchie proceeded to drive away from the residence. The victim told the deputy that he did not give Ritchie permission to use the truck.

The victim later located Ritchie and his vehicle at the local Walmart. When he attempted to get the vehicle back, he stated that Ritchie left the parking lot and headed eastbound on State Road 200.

An MCSO lieutenant and deputy later spotted the victim’s vehicle at a BP gas station on SE Highway 484 in Belleview. Ritchie was also located at the gas station and she was detained by the deputy.

A search of the vehicle revealed a small black box which was located on the floorboard near the middle seat. Inside the box, the deputy found a clear bag filled with a brown substance and another clear bag that was filled with a white powdery substance.

The brown substance field-tested positive for fentanyl and the white powdery substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

Ritchie agreed to speak with the deputy and admitted that the victim did not give her permission to drive the vehicle off the property. She also claimed that the box found inside the vehicle belonged to the victim.

Ritchie was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail where she is currently being held on $10,000 bond. She is facing a felony charge for grand theft of a motor vehicle and multiple felony charges for possession of a controlled substance.

A court date has not been scheduled yet, according to jail records.
