The Festival at Fort King will return in December, and the City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department is seeking vendors and demonstrators to participate in the historic-themed event.
The popular annual event will take place on Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Fort King National Historic Landmark located at 3925 E Fort King Street in Ocala.
Throughout the event, guests will step into life at Fort King in the 1800s. Local history will be brought to life with a re-enactment of the events that led to the start of the Second Seminole War.
Applications are currently open for food and craft vendors, and the deadline to apply is on Friday, September 2 at 5 p.m. In addition, applications are also open for historical reenactors and demonstrators, and the deadline to apply is on Friday, September 30 at 5 p.m.
