Marion Cultural Alliance, along with Marion Senior Services, are inviting local seniors and caregivers to attend two free workshops that will promote healthy aging.
The Art of Aging workshops, which are free and open to the public, will be held on Wednesday, August 17 and Wednesday, August 24 at the Brick City Center for the Arts located at 23 SW Broadway Street in Ocala.
On August 17, Terri Strong from Humana will discuss sodium consumption and the negative ways that too much sodium can affect the body. Attendees will also learn helpful tips on how to reduce their sodium intake.
The following week’s workshop on August 24 will be presented by Barbara Carbaugh and Stephen Solomon from Roberts Funerals and Cremations Downtown. They will speak to attendees about the importance of talking with loved ones about their final wishes.
Seating will begin at 11:30 a.m. on both workshop dates, and the talks will start at noon. The events are free to attend and an RSVP is required. Anyone interested in attending can click here to secure a seat.
