The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department will host youth and adult archery classes later this month in Ocala.
The Youth Archery Workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 26, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Silver Springs Archery Range (5227 NE 35th Street in Ocala). This class is open to anyone between the ages of 9 and 17.
On Thursday, October 27, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Silver Springs Archery Range will host a separate workshop for adults (ages 18 and up).
During the upcoming classes, participants will learn the finer points of archery through a variety of games and activities. The lessons will cover archery safety, equipment instruction, proper shooting form, and shooting etiquette.
Registration is open for both archery workshops, and there is a cost of $20 per participant.
