Ocala hosting community town hall meeting on recreation, parks, cultural arts

(Update: At 9:55 a.m. on October 18, 2022, the City of Ocala announced that the Recreation and Parks Department has canceled the community town hall scheduled for Thursday, October 20 due to “unforeseen circumstances.”)

The Ocala Recreation and Parks Department is inviting the public to attend its community town hall meeting on Thursday, October 20, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center.

Members of the community attending the meeting will learn about the city’s recreation and parks department and its upcoming programs, projects, and events that are planned. Representatives from multiple City of Ocala departments will also be on hand to answer any questions and collect input from the community.

Light refreshments will be provided to everyone in attendance.

Jacob Baker, the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center’s Recreation Program Supervisor, stated, “It is the goal of this series of community meetings to create a direct line of communication between City of Ocala departments and employees and the community members we serve.”

The E.D. Croskey Recreation Center is located at 1510 NW 4th Street in Ocala.
