Archery workshop for youth, adults in Marion County later this month

The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting two workshops later this month that will teach the finer points of archery to local youth and adults.

The Youth Archery Workshop will take place on Wednesday, April 26, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Silver Springs Archery Range, which is located at 5227 NE 35th Street. This class is open to anyone between the ages of 9 and 17.

On Thursday, April 27, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Silver Springs Archery Range will host a separate workshop for adults (ages 18 and up).

“This is such a fun class that is designed to teach the fundamentals of archery through games and friendly competition,” stated the Marion County Parks and Recreation Department in a social media post.

During the workshop, participants will learn about archery through a variety of games and activities. The lessons will cover archery safety, equipment instruction, proper shooting form, and shooting etiquette.

Registration is open for this month’s youth (ages 9 to 17) and adult (ages 18 and up) workshop sessions. There is a cost of $20 per person to participate.
