Marion County Solid Waste has announced that the Lake George garbage drop-off site is closed, effective immediately, to help reduce traffic in the Juniper Springs area and along State Road 19.
During the closure, residents are urged to use the Salt Springs Recycling Center located at 13580 NE 203rd Avenue Road in Salt Springs as an alternative.
According to Solid Waste, the Lake George Recycling Center is expected to reopen on Wednesday, May 24.
