Marion County firefighters rushed to the 2600 block of NE 147th Terrace in Silver Springs on Wednesday night after receiving reports that a home in the area was on fire.
A citizen had called 911 to report that their neighbor’s home was burning in a fire, and Marion County Fire Rescue units rushed to the mobile home shortly after 9:05 p.m., according to a social media post from MCFR.
Upon arrival at the residence, MCFR crews observed that the structure was fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters quickly deployed multiple hose lines and began a defensive attack on the fire. Additional suppression units arrived at the mobile home to assist with combating the blaze.
MCFR crews searched the interior of the mobile home, and no one was located inside. Firefighters continued to attack the flames, and the fire was called under control at 9:30 p.m.
There were no injuries reported to civilians or firefighters.
The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation, according to MCFR.
