The Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place is hosting a free painting workshop for veterans on Wednesday, August 9.
During the class, which will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center (1812 NW 21st Avenue in Ocala), visual artist and U.S. Army veteran Aaron Thomas will teach basic skills and techniques as participating veterans make their own one-of-a-kind artwork.
Additional “Painting for Veterans” classes will also be held at the same time and location on the following Wednesdays: August 16, August 23, and August 30.
There is no cost to attend these two-hour workshops and all art supplies will be provided. Registration is required and there is a limit of up to 20 adults (ages 18 and up) per class.
