A man who stole art from a men’s bathroom at the Ocala International Airport is wanted by police.
On Wednesday, August 2, Ocala International Airport Director Matthew Grow posted multiple photos and video of an individual who was recorded stealing the artwork.
The alleged theft took place just before 9:30 p.m. on Monday, July 31. In video posted to social media, the suspect is seen looking around a hallway in the airport before entering a men’s bathroom.
A short time later, the man exits the bathroom with multiple works of art in his hands.
“This fine specimen stole the art hanging in the men’s room at the Ocala Airport. If you recognize him, please message me,” reads a statement issued by Grow.
According to Grow, the man allegedly used his credit card to purchase a “couple of beers” at the Elevation 89 restaurant while stealing the artwork.
Grow says all pertinent information has been turned over to the Ocala Police Department and they are handling the investigation.
