A Walmart in Ocala has completely remodeled its location as part of the company’s push to make its stores a destination “where customers want to spend their time.”
The Walmart located at 9570 SW Highway 200 in south Ocala officially completed renovations on August 4. The store, which is #5326 for the chain, held a special event with giveaways throughout the day.
The renovations comes as Walmart focuses on reorganizing and rebranding its stores.
The company, which currently operates over 11,000 locations across the world, announced in 2021 that its redesign would focus more on “navigation and wayfinding.”
“We’re now aiming to make customers feel wowed and proud when they shop with us,” reads a press release issued in January 2022.
In addition to the location in south Ocala, renovations are also taking place at the company’s other stories in Ocala, including its locations at 4980 E Silver Springs Boulevard and 2600 SW 19th Avenue Road.
The remodels at those particular locations are scheduled to be completed sometime later this fall, according to construction records.
