The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Purple Alert for a missing 29-year-old man who was last seen leaving his residence in Dunnellon on Wednesday afternoon.

At around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, Matthew Tyler Davis was last seen leaving his residence located in the 130 block of SW Lombardy Lane in Dunnellon. He was wearing a dark in color shirt, dark in color hat, and khaki shorts, according to MCSO.

Davis left his home in a gray 2012 Toyota Highlander with FL license plate “KUGX06.” The sheriff’s office received information that he may have been in the Crystal River area at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the sheriff’s office, Davis has a brain injury as a result of multiple brain surgeries, and he made statements prior to leaving his residence that have caused law enforcement to be concerned for his safety.
