An Indian and Chinese buffet that opened last year and featured vegetarian and vegan options has closed its location in Ocala.
Madras Cafe has officially closed its location at 2800 SW 24th Avenue, Suite 101, near Walmart and Conn’s HomePlus.
The restaurant opened for business in mid-2022, serving Indian cuisine with a focus on vegetarian and vegan options. It closed its doors over the Summer of 2023, just over a year after it opened.
Madras Cafe featured a buffet with several South Indian dishes that were popular with its visitors. Despite having a small following, the restaurant earned 4.8 stars from over 200 reviewers on Google.
In addition to featured dishes including a long list of curries, the restaurant also served several different types of chaat, vada, dosa, and fried rice.
With the Ocala location closed, those looking to get a taste of Madras Cafe may try visiting the restaurant’s other location at 7730 W Sand Lake Road in Orlando.
