Goodbye horse country

To the Editor:

Tell that lady who spoke about Ocala not to feel bad because apparently it has spread to Levy County as well. They keep dicing and splicing the 10-plus acre lots. The tranquil sound of no traffic is now embarked by semi-trucks using the back roads to avoid I-75. Pastures filled with foals and their mothers grazing are now hit-or-miss due to all the small horse people not being able to afford the upkeep of their horses. This sudden influx is slowly eradicating the rural and peaceful areas in the outskirts of Ocala. Goodbye yellow brick road, and goodbye horse country.
