One person was hospitalized on Wednesday night following a two-vehicle crash with rollover that occurred at an intersection in southeast Ocala.
Shortly before 7:45 p.m., several Ocala Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the intersection of SE 24th Street and SE 36th Avenue after receiving reports of a collision involving two vehicles, according to OFR.
Within two minutes, OFR’s Engine 2 and Rescue 2 units arrived on scene, and crew members observed a white sedan with rear-end damage and a red compact SUV that had rolled on its side.
OFR stated that the SUV’s driver was trapped inside. Crew members quickly stabilized the vehicle, and the driver was removed and taken to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to the scene of the accident, along with additional Ocala Fire Rescue crews consisting of Tower 1, Battalion Chief 22, and a Safety Officer.
