Adean Evans Wines

Adean was born on December 26th, 1920, in Coleman, Florida, to Charlie Dean Evans and Esther Ada Nessmith. She was the beloved third child in a family of four siblings, all of whom preceded her in death. On May 29th, 1939, Adean married the love of her life, Robert L. Wines, Sr., in Ocala, and together they built a life filled with devotion and purpose.

Education was paramount to Adean, a value she carried throughout her life. After graduating from Wildwood High School in 1939, she pursued higher education at Florida Southern College, earning her bachelor’s degree in 1948. She furthered her academic pursuits at the University of Florida, obtaining her master’s degree in education in 1955. Adean dedicated over three decades of her life to the Marion County School System, leaving an indelible mark as both an Educator and a Media Specialist. Even in retirement, her passion for education persisted, leading her back to the classroom for several years.

Adean was the cornerstone of her family, embodying resilience, diligence, and prudence. She imparted these values to her granddaughters, Bobbye Wines Taylor and Maryanne Wines Nowlan, whom she adored beyond measure. Her great-granddaughter, Harper Rae Nowlan, was the light of her later years, bringing boundless joy and laughter. Adean’s legacy of love and wisdom will forever echo through the generations she touched.

Beyond her dedication to family and education, Adean found joy in life’s simple pleasures. From traveling the globe to relishing moments of quiet solitude at her cabin in Franklin, North Carolina, or the fishing camp in Steinhatchee, she embraced every experience with grace and gratitude. Adean’s zest for life was infectious, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Adean is survived by her granddaughters, Bobbye Wines Taylor (William) and Maryanne Wines Nowlan (Michael), her great-granddaughter, Harper Rae Nowlan, and her daughter-in-law, Mary N. Wines. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Wines, Sr., with whom she shared nearly 74 years of unconditional love, and her son, Robert L. Wines, Jr.

Though she may have bid farewell to this earthly journey, Adean’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her legacy celebrated.

Services honoring Adean’s remarkable life will be held privately by the family. As we reflect on the beautiful tapestry of her life, let us find solace in the memories we shared and the profound impact she made on our lives. Adean Evans Wines will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.
