The seventh Wawa in Ocala is currently under construction along one of the city’s main thoroughfares.
Wawa is building out its seventh location near the intersection of SW 20th Avenue Road and SW County Road 484.
The new gas station will be located just down the road from a new RaceWash that is currently under construction.
There are no details available regarding the opening of the new Wawa, which will mark the seventh across the city of Ocala.
In February, Wawa opened its sixth location in Ocala at 8380 SW Highway 200, across the street from the Friendship Center Shopping Mall.
Wawa opened its first three gas stations in Ocala simultaneously in 2019. Those stations are located at 3601 E Silver Springs Boulevard, 1001 S Pine Avenue, and 3312 W Silver Springs Boulevard.
Just a few weeks after the first three locations opened, Wawa opened a fourth location in Ocala at 4025 SW College Road.
Wawa opened its fifth location in Ocala at 3080 SE Maricamp Road in February 2020, less than a year after it opened the first four locations.
While it was expanding its footprint in Ocala, Wawa also opened new outposts in Belleview, The Villages, and Leesburg, as well as in various other cities throughout Marion, Sumter, and Lake counties.
In the past few years, Wawa has grown its presence in Florida so much so that the Sunshine State now has the most Wawa locations of any state in the country.
Florida even has more Wawa locations than Pennsylvania, where the company was founded over 120 years ago.
