Mary Ann Baer, 89, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024, in her home.
Mary Ann was born in Crewe, Virginia to Carl Simonton and Mary Carr on April 18, 1934. She went to Farmville High School Farmville, VA and graduated in 1953. She worked as a secretary for the State of Florida, First Baptist Church Jacksonville and in customer service for Sears Company. She enjoyed crafts and learning about computers. She loved Jesus and was involved with many activities at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville and then First Baptist Ocala after they moved there in 1988.
Mary Ann is survived by her children, Diane Westbury (Dan) of Orangeburg, SC, William Baer (Whitney) of Jacksonville FL, Debra Cooper (Larry) of Fruitland Park, FL. Sister, Margaret Rudd (Clyde) of NC, brother, Roy Ranson (Vivian) of NC, and sister, Carol Moore, of VA, grandchildren, Jacob Roth, Christina Baer, Heather Parkman, Michael Baer, Casey Roth and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Baer, father, Carl Simonton, and mother, Mary Ranson.
