To the Editor:
Every week I read letters blaming Marion County’s growth and overdevelopment. If you think it’s bad now, imagine what happens if we gut the property taxes that fund the services everyone relies on.
Want to preserve horse country? Rural communities don’t run on wishes. They need parks, libraries, roads, firefighters, paramedics, deputies, and support for seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.
Cutting property taxes won’t stop growth. It will strip away the very things that make Marion County livable.
If you truly care about protecting our community, not just complaining about it, vote “No” on Amendment 3. Save Marion County before we lose what makes it special.
