Mya Voncea Poole was born on March 1, 1977, in Gainesville, Florida. At a very young age, Mya joined the family of the late Eugene A. Poole and Selestine Washington-Poole along with (4) loving brothers whom she loved and thought the world of.

Mya accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at St. Hawthorne Primitive Baptist Church, in Blitchton,Florida where she served in various areas of ministry. Later on in her life she joined New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church in Ocala, Florida.

Mya was a member of the Marion County Voters League Florida Voters League and the American Legion Auxiliary. She later moved to Madison, Florida with her caregiver Brenda Johnson and remain there until her demise.

Mya was a lovable individual, known for her captivating smile, willing to lend a helping hand when needed, generous spirit, and infectious laughter. Wherever she went, she would sing sweet melodies to those around her and to the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: a son, mother Selestine Washington-Poole, (brothers) Vipond, Sr. (Djuna), Melvin, Vimel, Sr. (Tracy), Arvelle Poole, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Eugene A. Poole, (grandparents) Frankie Lee Jones-Washington, Albert Washington, Sr., Deacon Dominay and Mother Rezella M. Burton-Poole.
