A Marion County skydiver is the new state record holder for most skydives in a single day.
On Wednesday, April 24, Shyenne Bryant achieved the feat while at X35-Marion County Airport, which is located at 14968 SW 110th Street in Dunnellon.
Bryant took to the sky and exited the plane a total of 78 times, which was 27 more skydives than she had originally planned, according to Marion County Parks and Recreation Department.
The record-setting day earned Bryant an entry into the Florida State Records book for most skydives in a 24-hour period.
“It’s amazing that such feats are happening right here in Marion County, and we couldn’t be prouder that X35 is the host,” stated the Marion County Parks and Recreation Department on social media.
