Family, friends mourn young mother killed in fatal accident on CR 484

Friends and family are mourning the loss of Anijah Taylor, a young mother who was tragically killed in a fatal accident on County Road 484 this weekend.

Taylor was a passenger in a sedan that was involved in an accident at the intersection of CR 484 and SW 95th Circle on Saturday, June 8, at approximately 4:42 p.m.

According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, the sedan was being driven by a 20-year-old Ocala man southbound on SW 95th Circle in the right turn lane.

The vehicle entered the roadway’s intersection with CR 484, where it was hit on the left side by a pickup truck being driven by a 43-year-old Minneola man.

After the collision, Taylor was pronounced deceased.

Taylor, who became a mother for the first time just two years ago, was 18 years old.

Her son and the driver of the sedan were both seriously injured as a result of the accident.

The driver of the pickup truck and his two passengers, both from Minneola, were uninjured in the crash.

Since the accident, friends and family of Taylor have taken to social media to grieve the loss of the teen mother.

“You will forever live on,” said Laniha Taylor, “I love you and words can’t explain.”

“I’m gonna miss you, mama. You were so sweet. If only I could turn back time to when we were having our babies close together,” said Amari A.

“I’m so sorry this happened. If I knew you was gonna leave us, I would’ve planned that girls day sooner. I love you boo and rest up,” said Laniya H.
