Marion County Fire Rescue has welcomed a new critical care ambulance to its fleet.
On Monday, July 1, MCFR announced the arrival of “Critical Care #1 Transport,” its newest state-of-the-art ambulance that comes equipped with specialized medical equipment for treating patients with critical injuries.

According to MCFR, the ambulance is designed for patients with serious conditions and injuries that require constant advanced care prior to reaching the hospital.

“Our dedicated team is now better prepared than ever to provide top-notch care during these critical moments, even on the road,” stated MCFR in a social media post.
In a statement on Tuesday, Marion County Fire Chief James Banta thanked the Marion County Board of County Commissioners, as well as the county’s citizens and visitors, for “entrusting Marion County Fire Rescue with your care.”
The fire chief added that MCFR is committed to enhancing its emergency medical services with “the best resources available” to better support the local community.
Earlier this year, Marion County Fire Rescue purchased seven fully equipped ambulances ($500,000 value/each) to replace “aging equipment.”
