Despite receiving approval in December 2020 to build a 174-home development in Belleview, the owners of a 51.52-acre property must seek final approval from Marion County officials for their master plan as a condition of the original approval.
The developers of Highland Belleview East will seek approval for their plan during the Marion County Board of County Commissioners’ regular meeting on Tuesday, July 16.
According to county records, the planned development would be located on the property at 7730 E Hwy 25 in Belleview. The parcel was originally rezoned by commissioners to a planned unit development on December 15, 2020.
At the time, the property was approved for 174 single-family dwelling units and up to 9.3 acres of commercial use.
A condition of the original approval required that the final master plan be brought back before the board for approval, according to county records.
In addition to approval of the plan, the property owner, C-25 Group, LLC, is also requesting modification of the placement of a buffer originally planned for the eastern boundary. This request is being made due to a power line easement, according to county records.
According to county records, Tillman and Associates Engineering, LLC is the engineer on the project, and C-25 Group, LLC, which is owned by Land Investments of Ocala, Inc., is the developer of the project. That company has multiple registered officers and directors: Edward Seyler, Bobby Hardin, and Darryl Hampy.
The Marion County Board of County Commissioners meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 9 a.m. in the McPherson Governmental Campus (601 SE 25th Avenue, Ocala).
