To the Editor:

I remember the peak of COVID-19 in late 2020 when hospitals were overcrowded with COVID-19 patients and thousands had already died during this disastrous pandemic. It was during this time period I noticed several sheriff’s cars and not a single deputy was wearing a face mask.

Several local people told me that the sheriff had instructed them not to! I still find it hard to believe a person in authority would instruct his employees to endanger not only their own lives, but the lives of everyone they came in contact with.

I wouldn’t vote for good old Billy Woods if he was running for dog catcher.
