A chili charity event and car show will be hosted out of the McPherson Governmental Complex in Ocala next weekend.
The PAW Chili Challenge & Hub-Cat Car Show will be on Saturday, January 11, beginning at 9 a.m. at the McPherson Complex, located at 601 SE 25th Ave. in Ocala.
The show is free to attend and visitors may check out the car show, visit with vendors, win raffled prizes, or get their faces painted.
To participate in this competition, contestants will need to be ready to present their vehicle by 11 a.m. Judging will conclude at 1 p.m., and trophies will be presented at 2:30 p.m. The fee for entry is $20 per car, with all proceeds benefiting Sheltering Hands.
To taste the chilis created by community chefs and fellow rescues, a tasting pass will be available at the event for $8, or one may be purchased in advance for $7.50.
