Motorists in Silver Springs Shores can expect multiple road closures over the next month and a half due to a “septic to sewer” project that will see the installation of the area’s first sewer system.
According to Marion County officials, Marion Rock Construction and Commercial Industrial Corp. will be installing a water main, gravity sewer, and sewer force main as part of the following Marion County Utilities project: Silver Springs Shores Septic to Sewer Project Phases I and II.
In addition, construction crews will be restoring the roadway as part of the project. As a result, the following road closures will be in effect:
- Bahia Circle Trail, from Bahia Circle Trail to Pine Road (east), now through March 7.
- Bahia Circle Court, from Bahia Circle Court to the end of the cul-de-sac, starting February 17 through March 24.
- Bahia Circle Drive, from Bahia Circle Drive to the end of the cul-de-sac, starting February 17 through March 17.
- Bahia Circle Lane, from Bahia Road to the end of the cul-de-sac, now through February 14.
- Bahia Circle Loop, from Bahia Circle (west) to Bahia Circle (east), starting February 17 through March 24.
- Bahia Circle Place, from Bahia Circle Loop to the end of the cul-de-sac, starting February 17 through March 24.
- Bahia Circle (north), from Bahia Circle Drive to Bahia Road (east), starting February 17 through March 17.
- Bahia Circle Run, from Bahia Circle to Bahia Road, now through February 20.
- Bahia Circle Trail, from Bahia Road to Bahia Circle Run, starting February 17 through March 17.
- Bahia Circle Way, from Bahia Circle Loop to the end of the cul-de-sac, starting February 17 through March 24.
- Bahia Court Run, from Bahia Road to Spring Road, now through February 28.
- Bahia Court Terrace, from Bahia Road to Spring Road, now through March 4.
- Bahia Drive, from Bahia Road to the end of the cul-de-sac, starting February 17 through March 17.
- Bahia Road, from Midway Road to SE Maricamp Road, now through March 28.
- Spring Road, from Bahia Road to Spring Trak, now through February 28.
- Spring Track, from Bahia Road to Spring Road, now through March 14.
Construction equipment and personnel will be in the county right-of-way. Crews will place barricades and signs to detour traffic around the work zones.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. The road will be passable for local traffic only.
Adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances may affect schedules.
